We use combinations of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, homeopathics, and botanicals, in our intravenous treatments. All treatments are individualized to the needs of each person, and the treatment schedule is based on standard naturopathic protocols customized to meet individual patient requirements. IV therapy can be a useful addition to any treatment protocol for any of the following conditions:
- Cancer (High Dose Vitamin C, radiation support, chemo support and others; post treatment recovery)
- Lyme Disease recovery (in addition to an oral supplement program)
- Post-Surgical Wound Healing
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Alzheimers Disease, dementia
- Infections (Acute and Chronic)
- Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia
- Cardiovascular Disease including post heart attack, angina, high blood pressure, mitral valve prolapse, arrthymias, atherosclerosis, high cholesterol (chelation)
- Metabolic Syndrome and Diabetes
- Macular Degeneration, Cataracts
- Immune Disorders such as rheumatioid arthritis, Sjogren’s syndrome
- Gastrointestinal disorders
- Mood Disorders, Addiction support (NTR protocol)
- Energy Boost
- Workout Boost
Why intravenous therapy?
‘By the time symptoms of disease have made their appearance, it is sometimes too late for oral vitamins and minerals to make much difference on their own. Nevertheless, these same vitamins and minerals, given intramuscularly or intravenously, can benefit many diseases. At first glance, this looks like a contradiction. If the nutrient can be used to handle disease, it should not matter by which route they enter the body. However, there is good reason why it does matter.’
It is a fact of biology that all life, except for viruses, is composed of cells and cell products. When we attempt to bring a disease under control, what we are really trying to do is to provide cells with all the nutrients they need to get the job done. If the cells are not healthy, we are not healthy. So, we approach the problem of disease as a problem of the cell. We want to provide the cells what they need to exist in a healthy condition. What the cells need to be maximally healthy and function as they should is always found in nature and not in the pharmaceutical laboratory or a test tube.
However, to work, these nutrients must be able to enter the cell through the cell wall. If the cell is sick, it does not perform its functions well. One of the most important is the transport of nutrients across the cell wall. Catch-22: the cell is sick and does not transport well. What is needed to make the cell healthy are nutrients inside the cell. But, the cell is too sick to transport nutrients in sufficient quantity to create health. Solution?
The answer is simple: give nutrients in a concentration high enough to force them into the cell by means of a high concentration gradient and the ability of the cell wall to absorb without expending its energy on active transport. When given in high concentration, IV (intravenously) or IM (intramuscularly) nutrients must enter the cell by sheer force of numbers. Highly concentrated on the outside, the semi-permeable cell wall has no choice but to allow the nutrients to pass through into the cell.
So why not just give higher oral doses?
The cells of the stomach and small intestine can only absorb nutrients so fast. As well, everything introduced via the gastrointestinal tract must also pass through the liver before getting into the cells. IV and IM administration of nutrients bypasses the gastrointestinal tract and allow the total amount of the nutrients to be made available to the cells for absorption almost instantaneously.
